Kissimmee, Florida. c. 1980. Florida has been booming as a resort destination since the 1930's as more people began to buy automobiles and travel further afield for their holidays. In a recreation of 1930's charm, these basic bungalettes were newly built off-site and brought in by trucks, spruced up in a rainbow of cheerful pastels, and readied to receive Aunt Selma and Uncle Sid. Money has not been wasted on extravagant plantings as these have been built as an enclave of basic bungalows for middle class families on a vacation.
