Paradise welcome sign on Skyway.
The sign was built out of 30-foot tall salvaged bridge timbers in 1972. As with other city welcome signs it was festooned with emblems of community organizations. As a homage to Paradise’s connection with the timber industry, it was topped with a 6-foot diameter halo fabricated from a saw blade. The sign burned to the ground on November 8, 2018.
