Tuscan Ridge staging area.<br />
The Tuscan Ridge Golf Course, which had ceased operations a few years prior, became the staging area for Camp Fire recovery operations. In the immediate aftermath of the fire, the defunct golf course was used as a vast parking lot for service vehicles used by crews repairing damaged utilities. A few months later, portable barracks were moved in and parking lots were paved to prepare for the long process of removing over 7 million tons of debris. Over 300 dump trucks were moored here. Many of their drivers and other support staff were housed in the barracks.
