A valet’s dream, this dressing room adjoining one of Casa Nueva’s bedrooms is packed from floor to ceiling with storage space. The simple painted cabinetwork echoes that of the kitchen, as stained and lacquered wood finishes were generally reserved for more formal rooms. The popular scoop-handle pulls of the era are seen on the ranks of drawers; their natural brass finish has patinated to the clove-brown color prized by restorers.
