The New York to Paris race was celebrated, albeit with considerable artistic license, in the 1965 motion picture The Great Race, starring Tony Curtis as Leslie Galant III, Jack Lemmon as Professor Fate, and Natalie Wood as suffragette Maggie Dubois. Four loose interpretations of the Thomas Flyer were created for the movie.
