ANNA IONA HILL (1886-1944). Anna Hill was born in Kansas, the daughter of Reverend Fulgum, a visiting Methodist minister instrumental in the early years of Lincoln's Newman Methodist Episcopal Church. The new church was founded in 1892 by members from Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Anna remained a stalwart member of Newman church throughout her life. Her husband, Marshall Hill, was a native of Tennessee<br />
