A dramatic series of corbels provide support for this cantilevered balcony; a simple yet elegant wrought iron railing incorporates both circular brackets for holding potted flowers and the stanchions required to support the awning. The small window to the right of the balcony is guarded by a screen of turned wooden spindles, a common feature of vernacular design in southern Spain. A simple cornice molding beneath the tile-capped parapet echoes the corbeled balcony and elegantly marks the transition from wall to roof.
