The interior door and storm door at La Casa Nueva are designed with almost comical exaggeration, as is the ponderous lintel overhead. A gigantically-scaled rim lock with a permanent key forms the interior lockset; its companion piece is visible on the door jamb. The storm door, with its pattern of interlocking hexagons and stars, is an Arabic motif that comes to City of Industry by way of Moorish Spain.
