VIEW WEST ON O STREET, C. 1910. On a typically windy day, O Street--Lincoln's "Main Street"--appears to be decked out for the Fourth of July. The camera was positioned on the south sidewalk near Fourteenth Street, looking west. The tall building at the center of the view was the six-story Burr Block, Lincoln's first "skyscraper," built in 1888.
