FLORENCE JONES AND HER MOTHER. Florence and her mother, Kate (Constellawaii) Wilson (1883-1962), lived on South Seventh Street, at the edge of an industrial area. The building in the background was the Griswold Seed Company elevator at Eighth and N Streets. Ruth Folley recalled Florence bicycling all over Lincoln. They once rode together to Florence's dish-washing job at a big house on Sheridan Boulevard. Florence graduated from Lincoln High School in 1923.
